Getting Here

There are many ways to reach Moffat; the main route is via the M74.

Whether travelling north or south using this route, leave the M74 motorway at Junction 15 and follow the A701 to Moffat and if travelling from further south, the M6 from Birmingham & Manchester meets the M74 just north of Carlisle.

You’ll find us an easy drive from most cities in the North of England and Central Scotland.  If you’re coming from further afield, we are conveniently placed on the motorway network, exit at Junction 15 on the M74.

By Sea

If you’re coming from Ireland, the best thing to do is head for Larne or Belfast.  Then take the ferry to either Stranraer or Cairnryan and you’ll step or drive ashore in  Dumfries & Galloway.  Stena Line operates between Belfast and Stranraer, P&O Irish Sea ferries run between Larne and Cairnryan.  In all, there are 20 crossings from Northern Ireland to Dumfries & Galloway every day.  We’ve listed some handy numbers and web sites below.
