2013 Walking Festival

The date of the 2013 Moffat Ramblers' Walking Festival has been set for 4th - 6th October. 2013.  Details will be published late Spring 2013.

Moffat, Scotland's first "Walkers are Welcome town"  and the surrounding Moffat hills present a haven for walkers of all abilities, the clean Scottish air, stunning scenery and timeless beauty is awe inspiring. Whether for a day's hiking or a short stroll in unspoilt countryside, Moffat is the perfect place to experience a truly memorable walking holiday.

Moffat - Suggested Walking Routes

Some year's ago, ardent local walker Andy Armstrong researched and created a series of leaflets of places to which people could walk, cycle or drive from Moffat.

The result is the "Take 5" series, comprising;

• Gentle Walks around Moffat
• Slightly Longer Walks around Moffat
• Strenuous Walks around Moffat
• Walks using the Southern Upland Way
• Walks from the Car
