We have introduced a new facility for our Walking Festival visitors - downloadable maps of the routes being walked during the 2010 Festival as follows:

WALKS ON SATURDAY, 2nd OCTOBER
Walking Festival Walk 1 - Mitchelstacks - Wee Queensberry- Queensberry - Lochan Head - Kinnel Head.  To be led by Jamie Davies.
Walking Festival Walk 2 - Wamphray Glen - Laverhay - Braefield - Garrogill - Southern Upland Way - Moffat.  To be led by Murray and Christine Cameron.
Moffat Walking Festival Walk 3 - This is our "Mystery Hill Walk" to stay a mystery until you set off on your walk with Tom McArthur!
Walking Festival Walk 4 - Wamphray Glen - Wamphray Church - Milne Heigh - Laverhay Height - return via Wamphray Glen.  To be led by Dorothy Lammie.
Walking Festival Walk 5 - Birnock Water Circuit.  To be led by George Hunter and Ann.
Walking Festival Walk 6 - Walk from near the source of the River Tweed, along forest tracks to Black Fell - Archie's Hill - Blacklaw Hill - Craiks Craigs - Chapel Farm - Moffat.  To be led by David Booth.
Walking Festival Walk 7 - Moffat - Blaebeck - Mossgrain Burn - Roundstonefoot.  To be led by Richard Clarkson.
Walking Festival Walk 8 - Lockerbie Circular Walk, using part of the Annandale Way.  To be led by Greta Shepherd.

Walking Festival Walk 9 - Tibbie Shiels - Crossleuch using Southern Upland Way to Earls Hill - Penniestone Knowe - Mil Hill - Herman Land - Birkhill.  To be led by Chris Moffat.
Moffat Walking Festival Walk 10 - Ettrick Kirk and Loch o'the Lowes.  To be led by Keith Robeson and Erica Niven.
Walking Festival Walk 11 - Castle Oer Forest - Castle Oer Fort - Castle Hill.  To be led by Tom McArthur.
Walking Festival Walk 12 - Annan Water Hall - Hartfell Spa returning via Newton Caves.  To be led by Bernie McDougall.
Walking Festival Walk 13 - Frenchlands - Craigieburn Wood - Hunterheck Hill - Craigbeck - Dumcrieff Bridge - Moffat.  To be led by Lindsay and Sheila Bowman.
Walking Festival Walk 14 - Moffat - Gallow Hill - Hind Hill - Greygill Head - Moffat Well - Tank Wood.  To be led by Eddie Harrison.
Walking Festival Walk 15 - Black Esk Reservoir Circular Walk from near Sandyford.  To be led by Greta Shepherd.
Walking Festival Walk 16 - Golf Course - Auchencastle - Beattock - Southern Upland Way - Dumcrieff Bridge - Moffat.  To be led by Ian Anderson.

Some year's ago, ardent local walker Andy Armstrong researched and created a series of leaflets of places to which people could walk, cycle or drive from Moffat.
