Moffat - A Vibrant Community

Moffat benefits from its “smallness” and relative remoteness from other towns by enjoying a vibrant community spirit.

Although the population is only around 2,200, there are some eighty societies, groups and clubs. Some cater for the ‘not-so-young’ generation whilst there are numerous activities available for the more active and young.  Information about many community activities is available by viewing the 2010 What's On Guide.  The Guide is produced annually and is available in time for Easter each year.

The whole community is catered for, therefore no-one need feel excluded if they are prepared to ‘join-in’.

The community video of Moffat and its people, made to celebrate the Millennium, is now available in DVD form and can be purchased from Thingummyjig, High Street, Moffat.  Price £9.99.  Profits go to charities identified by pupils of Moffat Academy

The following list of local Community Groups provide a wide range of services both to visitors and residents of the Moffat Area. Users can scroll the pages for details of all Community Groups or use the search facility to find a paricular Group, Club or Organisation.
